Little things excite me

In Luang Prabang, I found my favorite Wat to-date. Just not for reasons most people would find important.

This appears to be some sort of fire breathing monkmobile. Yes it has wheels. I do perhaps have a bit of an obsession with monks so this made me real happy… more on that later.

One of these things is not like the other.

  1. I agree with your mom (hi barb!) – fill us in on the monks obsession. I can’t get over how detailed and ornate the temples are – your pictures are great and I’m sure they don’t compare to the real thing. Good call on getting to Laos – your travels there truly seem like you are getting a local experience. A lot of your trip has made me remember a lot of my time over in China and Korea. You are experiencing many different things and I can definitely see many differences in the cultures but just the look and feel of countryside vs bustling city life on steroids like you saw in Bangkok brings back a lot of memories. I can see why you’d like to spend more time in Laos as well.

    1. Thx doll. It’s been really great. Glad to hear I’m not boring (everyone) w my pics. I do find it just beautiful over here but I know it’s not the same when you don’t know what you’re looking at (hence my rambling explanations to try to provide context).
